PRODUCTION PLANNER – SR.

Job Description

We are looking for a Master Operational Planner with great experience in providing high-level logistics, planning, and management of all facets of our Manufacturing Operations’ new and existing projects and processes.

You will be successful in this role if you are self-motivated, pro-active, have high energy, take accountability for what you do, have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation
skills. You will also need to be organized, have attention to detail, can comfortably and adeptly work in a multifaceted, fast-paced environment without staff reporting to you directly. Equally important is that you must have technical knowledge, can standardize and give visibility into Operations, re-engineer business processes as needed to increase productivity of others, and can take full ownership of the role to drive SLM to achieve Operations Excellence.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

  • Supply Chain Management / Inventory Control
  • Documentation Control
  • Production Scheduling / Operations Master Scheduling
  • Shop Floor Control / Production Control
  • Backup for Purchasing, Shipping and ReceivingQualifications

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors in Business Operations Management, Business Systems, IndustrialEngineering, or Mechanical Engineering or other related degree.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Production Planning in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of established inventory control and material planning techniques includingMRP/ERP software systems, Kanban, Safety Stock, etc.
  • Capability to effectively configure a Product Bill of Material (BOM) and understandexploded Product BOM formatting, process flow and procedural documentation.
  • Experience in Project and Program Management – tracking everything going on inOperations, including experiments, regular production/shipments and new products.
  • Manage and revise Operation processes.
  • Operate Business Information Systems to track orders.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptable and a team player.
