SLM at Photonics West 2026

DPM™ for Quantum Computing

SLM has written a white paper with support from Infleqtion that outlines how the DPM™ unique attributes including high speed may be used to better enable neutral atom quantum computing. Infleqtion is an exciting quantum technology company that develops and commercializes cutting-edge quantum sensing and computing solutions.

SLM presented for the EPIC Technology Workshop on Laser Micromachining Applications at the Laser World of Photonics at Laser World of Photonics in Munich, Germany.
The Grating Light Valve (GLV®), invented at Stanford in 1994, began Silicon Light Machine’s (SLM) story in display. SCREEN acquired SLM as a wholly owned subsidiary in 2008 as the GLV® proved to be essential to SCREEN’s computer to plate (CTP)—and later—direct write technologies.
Recently, SLM has introduced 2D integrated MEMS on CMOS, Planar Light Valve (PLV™), Displacement Phase Modulator (DPM™), and the laser processing optical solution known as Katana™.
